(More customer reviews)My daughter is on the high school swim team. She has been swimming for about 7 years now. We recently moved and she's attending a new high school. When asked what goggles he recommended, the coach opened his file cabinet and handed us a pair of Vanquisher goggles. My daughter tried them at her next practice and came home from school praising these goggles. She wears contacts in the pool and says that no water gets under these googles. She also said that they are very comfortable. I'm back to buy a couple pair for her younger sister.
UPDATE: My youngest (age 14) loves them too, and my girls never agree!

About Speedo In 1914, Speedo was founded in Australia by Alexander MacRae, a 22-year-old Scottish immigrant who arrived in the country in 1910. The company began when MacRae Hosiery manufacturers, established by Alexander in 1914, extended the manufacture of underwear to swimwear and became MacRae Knitting Mills. A naming competition was held by the staff in 1928 and won by a Captain Parsonson, who coined the slogan, "Speed on in your Speedos." In 1929, the first swimsuits were in production and it didn’t take long for Speedo to successfully establish itself. World War II caused the brand turn over 90% of it’s manufacturing to war production, providing the armed services with vital equipment such as mosquito nets. After the war, Speedo opened a new factory and was able to re-establish itself, due to increased demand for swimsuits. In 1951, Speedo Knitting Mills (Holdings) Ltd, was incorporated and became a publicly traded company on the Sydney Stock exchange.
Speedo hit the international stage in earnest, at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, and a few years later the brand grew on a more global scale. Export sales to the USA began and an international division was set up to monitor trade in New Zealand, Japan and South Africa. The expansion of the brand continued, and in 1976, Speedo was appointed as the official swimwear for the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where 52 out of 54 countries wore their swimsuits.
Speedo continues to make its mark in the pool and on the beach today. Many world class athletes who wear Speedo include U.S. phenomenon Michael Phelps, legendary Australian swimmer Grant Hackett, world record holder Kosuke Kitajima from Japan, and Holland’s Inge de Bruijn.

(More customer reviews)I have been diving for over 6 years now and i've been using Sea Drops from the start. Many people will tell you spit, or baby shampoo is just as good and cheaper, but you get what you pay for. While the others "MAY" work, Sea Drops do work all the time. i use 3 drops per lens and apply it when prepping the equipment for a dive. When you get to the water rinse the lenses and the mask will stay clear the whole dive. I would recommend the drops over the gel as the drops will last you longer and the gel is generally more expensive. I love this product and highly recommend it.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my can't-swim-but-loves-to-jump-into-the-pool 2-year-old. I need him to be safe around our yard. I was attracted by the USCG rating and the reviews.
My son is a skinny little dude, barely 30 pounds, and there is only about an inch of the belt hanging out when we cinch it around him. I don't know how a 50-lb kid would ever be able to snap the belt around him. My son was able to pull his (dry) arms right out of the sleeves when we put it on. I don't think that he would be able to slither out of the other part, but that was a disturbing revelation.
Still, something is better than nothing, so we proceeded to the pool. My son quickly got the hang of it and was able to flip back to his tummy every time he inadvertently bobbed onto his back. This PFD does NOT (and does not claim to) keep your child's head out of the water. He must be able to do that himself. The chest part of this rode up to my son's armpits/chin whenever he was floating (as opposed to standing or sitting on the step). It didn't seem to bother him but it seemed uncomfortable to me. He kicked about with confidence. I suppose if his arms were longer, he'd have been able to "swim" "normally", but I don't know how he could do a freestyle stroke with those sleeves on. His arms never slipped out while he was in the pool. The belt across his back stayed snug while he was in the water and didn't loosen up as he played.
This vest really gave him confidence and freedom in the pool. He loved the turtle design and I loved that I could tow him all over the pool without tiring myself out by having to hold all his weight. He eschewed pool toys and wanted merely to paddle around the pool and explore the skimmer and chlorine tablet floater. When we got out, the vest slipped off without a lot of pulling, even though (or maybe because) he wears a rash guard in the pool.
So, overall, it's great for us, but I'm not sure it would work for a much larger kid.
